For those responsible organizations who try to address all information security and cyber security related threats, many realize that they must be prepared with not only a technical background but also an education in all policy and business management system factors related to those cyber security related potential threats.
With that very point in mind, Dave Andrews and Catherine Ferraro have written a short article posted on the George Mason University website that discusses a new degree offering that will provide professionals in business, government and nonprofit organizations with the necessary management skills to address the specific technology and policy challenges of maintaining secure information systems.
This new Master of Science in Management of Secure Information Systems will be launced in the spring of 2012.
Mason is currently accepting applications for the program, with a deadline of Oct. 1, 2011. More information about the program can be found on the GMU website.
