Ok….so put away your ‘Farmville’, ‘Solitaire’ or whatever game you play on the internet and go to http://www.bcaw2011.com/ and click on the BC24 panel. Why you might ask?
The Business Continuity Institute (BCI) is sponsoring Business Continuity Awareness Week (BCAW), and, in conjunction with this series of events, they have developed an incident simulation game which you can play with 5 of your closest business continuity or organizational friends. What a great idea —something fun and accessible that is geared to not only the business continuity professional but suitable for those individuals how are not currently involved in a business continuity program.
The game will be available during BCAW during Business Continuity Awareness Week — March 16th through March 25th.
It is interactive online and is designed to take around 30 minutes. The BCI doesn’t want to reveal too much but the game will involve a flooding incident as well as a supply chain failure. I for one can’t wait to play.
It is open to anyone during BCAW, but afterwards will only be open to members of the BCI.
If applicable, please pass this information along to those business continuity, risk managmenet, crisis management, disaster recovery, first responder and PS-Prep program strategy planning team members in your organization.
Click here to read the BDI’s formal briefing on the game … and may all of you be winners!
