Congratulations to the Edwards Information organization who recently published the 2011 edition of the ‘Emergency Planning and Disaster Recovery Sourcebook’.  It has not only been updated but significantly expanded.

What a great source of who to call or where to look when you or your organization is faced with a disaster or disruptive event.  It has been well documented that when a disaster strikes your company, you don’t recover alone.  This sourcebook — available both in hardcopy and on CD — can be a starting point for you in getting experts involved in recovering your business.  From restoration companies to security providers they are all listed in this directory.

The 2011 edition has also set aside a new section titled ‘Disaster Planning and Related Information’.  This section covers such areas as Business Recovery, and the often neglected area of Personal Resilience and Private Sector Preparedness (PS-Prep).  In full disclosure, ContinuityCompliance.org was asked to provide content on the PS-Prep program and we were happy to oblige.

The bulk of the directory is dedicated to listings of vital products and services and includes a number of indexes which deal with government agencies and Associations.

It truly is an excellent resource with over 15,000 listings — be sure to check it out at their website — http://www.edwardsinformation.com/
